Of mantua am I beget and borrn
In calabre decessit and forlorn
Now stant I grave in Naplys þe Cite
Þat in my tyme wrait notabill warkes thre
Of pasturage and eik of husbandry
And douchty chiftanys full of chevalry
Note: Translates couplet above it, ‘Mantua me gemit: ‘Calabri rapuere tenet me / Parthenope scriui Pastua rura duces’.
